Description:
Welcome back returning students! We are calling this Metalsmithing Intro 1.5, a continuation of previous learning in the Intro to Metalsmithing 1. In this course, you will have more time for practice and skill building. Now that you have a foundational understanding, you will come to the table with a greater vision for design and use these hours for expanding your skill set and confidence with the techniques. Class projects will be more self directed than in Metals 1 and may be a single piece or a project each class, so come with ideas in mind and be ready to explore.
Intro to Metalsmithing 1 is REQUIRED before registering for this course, and cannot be taken concurrently.
Learning materials are included, ie silver and brass, as well as stones, although students are welcomed to bring items and stones they may like to include or experiment with. Class size is limited to just 6 students for a personalized experience.
